I personal think S&S works in groups, but the S&S player will lose a lot compared to GA/WA. ![]() Swaping to a hatchet to get AoE taunt is much better. Way to long casttime and to short of a buff with insane CD. At least it has an aoe debuff.ĭefiant Stance in PvP? This skill is so bad i dont even use it while tanking in PvE. Shield Rush in PvP? Useable but to long Rampup time, to easy to dodge, hits only 1 target. Whirling Blade in PvP? The Skillperk is useless and using this skill feels insanelie bad. Reverser Stab in PvP? good luck hitting with that. (and ONLY the leaping strike perk “has” some usefullness but even there, you need to hit the target in the BACK with it, total garbadge) My personal biggest problem with S&S are the skills and skill perks.īesides ShieldBash und Leaping Strike every other skill of S&S is bad. Going for 2x Enchanted just makes Blocking nearly useless^^ S&S can have 2x Enchanted, this compensates “a little” the dmg offset to other weapons. I don’t want the build to be nerfed, just make other melee weapons fucking good. This game is a clear example of “bring the class, not the player,” simply because of how much stronger this build is compared to other melee builds in every single area of the game. Your meta in this game for melee is unwaveringly cookie cutter. I don’t care about your amazing killstreak with a off-meta melee build in a war where the enemy team probably wasn’t even wearing resilient gear. If you want to play melee then you have to play this build in opr or wars. GAxe by default does 20% more damage then the spear, with better light/heavy attacks, more aoe, more % damage on their abilities, and significantly stronger damage perks on their weapons and in the weapon trees. It’s the same tankiness + insane aoe damage and cc. Sword is only used by people that want to play a “tank” build, but people like this are not even close to the potential of heavy armor with gaxe/ghammer. The only exception is in wars, where 1, maybe 2 people play a light armor variant in wars, but still use gaxe/ghammer for coordinated insane aoe burst damage and aoe cc. ![]() There is an arguement to be made for hatchet being useful, but it’s not even close to how good the former build is. If you aren’t heavy armor with gaxe/ghammer in opr or wars then you are actively griefing your team. I’m talking specifically about a pure melee build. I’m not talking about bow/rapier or musket/spear.
